🏒 Monthly subs pause in the offseason: Monthly subs will pause from June–Oct (if you pay for a month now in the Summer, you won't pay again until November).
💰 Annual sub launch discount: Sign up for an Annual sub now for $55, a $25 discount on a full year ($10 × 8 months otherwise!). Once preseason starts, this will go up to $60.
📌 Your price discount is locked in at signup: Going forward, any annual sub dollar amounts will be tethered to when you signed up (it won't be $55/year forever — I know what inflation is!). But if the entry point for a year goes up to $70 instead of $60, you'll only pay $65/year.
Why does my monthly subscription pause in the offseason?
Since most premium content is tied to the NHL season (and I need time in the offseason to decompress/set up data and Best Puck Manifesto stuff!), monthly billing automatically pauses from June through October.
If you subscribe during the summer, you won't be charged again until November (since now you’re paying for October, basically)
Why is the annual price $55 right now?
$55 is a launch discount, $25 off the standard $10/month × 8 in-season months. Once preseason begins, the annual entry price rises to $60 for new subscribers.
Will my annual price go up every year?
Not automatically. Your annual price is tethered to the entry price on the day you signed up, always at a $5 discount off the current new-subscriber rate. So if the entry price later becomes $70, your renewal would be $65, not $70.

Annual is cheaper overall since monthly billing would add up to more, even with a pause in the offseason (8 months × $10 = $80/year), while annual locks you in at a discounted rate ($55 now, $60 after preseason starts).
